Our 1st day in Tokyo...we walk around purposelessly...we end up in front of the Kanda shrine, in a tiny restaurant, in lil streets...We take the train for Hakodate in the evening.

We take a night train from Sapporo to Tokyo...no sleeping cars, as usual a lot of stops in Hokkaido and then it's way faster in Honshu...

2008 10 01 Tokyo Parks

We meet Miwa around 11am (we almost got lost because we always avoid taking the subway, as it's not included in our Japan Rail Pass), walk a little bit around and visit a little park and a tiny graveyard. Then we go to the Meiji Shrine and to the Meiji Shrine inner garden (a small garden inside the shrine where you have to pay an entrance fee).
